prayer and devotion are an important part of our day

Today, I want to share something very close to my heart - the transformative power of prayer in our everyday lives. As a woman of faith navigating life's challenges, I've found an unwavering source of strength and peace in my prayer life. It's like slipping on the armor of God, piece by piece, every morning, ensuring I'm equipped to face whatever the day throws at me.

Why Prayer Matters

Prayer isn't just a ritual; it's a lifeline. It's how we communicate with our Creator, laying down our worries, seeking guidance, and expressing our deepest thanks. But more than that, prayer is a powerful tool that aligns our hearts with God's will, helping us to navigate life's ups and downs with grace and resilience.

In Ephesians 6:11, we're encouraged to "put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." Remember, this isn't just a metaphor. It's a daily practice. By starting each day with prayer, we're not just talking to God; we're armoring up, preparing ourselves to face the world with faith and courage.

My Morning Sanctuary

I've made it a non-negotiable part of my morning routine to spend time in devotion, Bible reading, and prayer—even before breakfast. This sacred time sets the tone for my day, grounding me in peace and purpose. During these moments, in the quiet, before the day begins, I feel most connected to God, most protected by His armor.

For example, there was a morning when I felt particularly overwhelmed with the tasks ahead. Yet, as I prayed, laying out my worries before God, a sense of peace enveloped me. It was as if God reminded me, "I've got this. Just follow my lead." And just like that, my anxiety melted away, replaced by a quiet confidence that no matter what, I was not alone.

Prayer in Action

But how does this morning ritual translate into our everyday lives? Let me share another example. One day, faced with a challenging decision, I was unsure of the next step. Drawing on my morning conversations with God, I took a moment to pray, seeking His wisdom. Almost immediately, an answer came to me, not as an audible voice but as a sudden clarity and peace about which path to take. It reminded us that we have guidance and, more so when we equip ourselves with prayer.

Encouragement for Your Journey

I encourage you, lovely women, to cultivate your own prayer life. Make it as essential to your morning as your first cup of coffee. You'll find that when you start your day with God, you're not just going through the motions but walking in step with the divine. And there's no better way to face the day than with the whole armor of God firmly in place.

Remember, prayer doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be honest. Speak from your heart, listen quietly, and let God's peace fill you. As you do, you'll find yourself surviving the day and thriving, armored with faith, love, and the quiet strength that comes from knowing you're never alone.

So, let's embrace this beautiful journey together, starting each day with prayer and never taking off our armor. Because in this world, our faith and prayers are our most powerful tools.

I pray for you all a day filled with grace, peace, and beautiful conversations with God.

Hi, I am a wife and a dog momma of 3! Living on the beautiful coast of Oregon, I see His handiwork everywhere I go in nature. It really is breathtaking watching the sunsets and sunrises on the beach or in the trees.

I am an entrepreneur and have two businesses and three podcasts that are all vastly different in nature. My business locally is a real estate expert licensed in Oregon and online a women's holistic health practitioner and functional nutritionist.

I am a bible believing woman of faith that wants to inspire and encourage you in the word and I believe that we are also called to encourage one another but also to expose darkness and shine our light using scriptures and not opinions.

I will be doing all of that here. Stay tuned for more and I am so blessed to have you in this space.
